2. Data we process

3. Purposes and legal bases

Carrying out the contracted pre-purchase inspection service and delivering the report: performance of a contract.

Issuing and retaining invoices and complying with tax and accounting obligations: compliance with a legal obligation.

Managing the private customer area for viewing and downloading reports and invoices: performance of a contract.

Service-related communications (appointments, notifications, report delivery): legitimate interests and performance of a contract.

Personal licence for the Self-Inspection Guide: we print your name, email address, order number, purchase date and licence code on every page of the PDF to protect the content against copying and resale. Legal bases: performance of the purchase contract and our legitimate interest in protecting our content (Art. 6.1.b and 6.1.f RGPD).

4. Retention

Reports and their multimedia annexes are retained for the duration of the customer relationship and, subsequently, for the limitation periods applicable to any potential liabilities arising from the service. Invoices are retained for the periods required by tax and commercial legislation.

5. Recipients

We do not disclose data to third parties unless legally required to do so. We use technology providers for hosting and secure storage who act as data processors, with access limited to what is strictly necessary to provide the service.

The report is delivered only to the customer who commissions the inspection. If the vehicle belongs to a third party (a private or trade seller), its registration number and chassis number are processed solely as details of the vehicle being inspected and are not made public.

6. Photographs and videos

Images are taken solely to document the vehicle’s condition. We avoid capturing identifiable people; if they appear accidentally, the images are blurred or discarded. The material is stored in a private repository accessible only to MCM Car Review and the customer to whom the report belongs.

7. Your rights

You can exercise your rights of access, rectification, erasure, objection, restriction of processing and data portability by writing to info@mcmcarreview.com, specifying the right you wish to exercise and attaching a document proving your identity.

If you believe that the processing does not comply with the applicable legislation, you can lodge a complaint with the Spanish Data Protection Agency (www.aepd.es).

8. Security

We apply technical and organisational measures to protect information: username and password access, encryption in transit, private storage of the multimedia annex and role-based access control, so that each customer can view only their own report and invoices.

9. Cookies

This website uses only the technical storage strictly necessary to keep users signed in. No advertising or profiling cookies are used.
